YOUTH WORK SNAPSHOT 2011, YAPA
The Youth Action and Policy Association (YAPA) recently released the Youth Work Snapshot 2011: Yapa survey of youth services and workers in NSW. The idea behind the report was the significant need to bridge the gap in knowledge available to the government and non-government agencies interested in the services provided to young people in NSW and the people providing the service.

Another valuable resource from YAPA is the YOUth Represent Resource Kit, a resource which aims to provide those working with young people with a model for youth participation.
The YOUth Represent Resource Kit seeks to:
- Engage and empower young people from marginalised backgrounds;
- Capitalise on the skills, experience and expertise of young people to mentor and support other young people; and
- Develop and enhance skills, knowledge and expertise in young people so that they may contribute to their communities.

YOUTH HEALTH POLICY 2011 -2016 Healthy bodies, healthy minds, vibrant futures
The NSW Youth Health Policy was recently launched by the NSW Department of Health. The policy was prepared in collaboaration with the NSW Centre for the Advancement of Adolescent Health (CAAH) and provides a strong framework for providing youth health services for young people in NSW. YOUTH HEALTH BETTER PRACTICE framework Fact sheet 2nd Edition 2011
CAAH has published fact sheets based on findings from an earlier research study into access to health care among young people in NSW. The fact sheets provide checklists, practical ideas and strategies, and case studies covering seven key principles - accessability, evidence based approach, youth participation, collaboration and partnerships, professional development, sustainability and evaluation. AIHW Report: YOUNG AUSTRALIANS - THEIR HEALTH AND WELL BEING 2011
The Australian Institute of Health and Welfare (AIHW) has published their fourth report, Young Australians: their health and well being. This report provides the latest stratistical information on how Australia's young people are faring according to national indicators of health and well being. The Western Australian Commission for Children and Young People have recently released the Report, Speaking out about wellbeing - The views of Western Australian children and young people. The Report highlights a social view of health and contributing factors to well being as identified by children and young people. NSW Health Reform and Youth Health Forum (December 2010)
On Wednesday 8 December 2010, the NSW Association for Youth Health and NSW Youth Health Council held a forum to discuss Health Reform and Youth Health in NSW. minds at risk: SBS Insight feature on young people and mental health
SBS Program Insight recently featured an episode on young people and mental health. The feature included guest speaker and Australian of the Year Professor Patrick McGorry, who calls for a renewed focus on young people and early intervention.

NAYH Article featured in October 2009 edition of Parity
The October edition of the Parity Magazine, published by the Council to Homeless Persons, was launched on Tuesday 24 November.

NAAH's article, Responding to the health and well being needs of homeless and marginalised young people in NSW - where are we going?, written by Executive Officer Emma Marshall and NAAH President Anthony Stralow, was published in the October edition (Volume 22, Issue 9) which focus' on responding to homelessness in NSW.
